Merry Christmas Everyone!

Hello Friends!
Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying this beautiful and blessed Christmas season.
I'm doing well, still busy with work.  I should be done by mid week so I will be very happy and able work on  few gifts for my sisters and nieces.  Also wanted to let you know that all of you have been an inpiration to me as I have had to shelve my decorating.  This little guy and  baby Jesus, was one of my first ceramic projects.  They actually stay out all year - I leave it out because we have alot of little visitors and it often is a piece of converation and a great opportunity to give them an explaination about our faith.

Happy Saturday!

Just wanted to say "HI".
Here are few pictures for you.  Enjoy.

I got these three sweet little guys at the BABE Bead Show.  Actually I bought a whole lot - the lady selling wanted to just get rid of them.

This was from my trip to Candlestick park.

And these I got at the Rose Bowl Flea Market in LA during the Spring.

He is in my studio - he keeps me company.

Things I am working on.

Glass button - pretty huh?

Just pretties.

These button are very old and have remained very beatiful.  The Scapular heart is in very good condition too but not as old.

This is the stash I purchased for a song and dance practically.

This hummingbird is to die for.  The wing actually comes off.

Since I have no Christmas decorations to share with you I thought that you might enjoy seeing at least these.  Take care my friends.

Sleep, Pray and Peg away for the greater good....

I just finished visiting your blogs and let me tell you ladies...all of you are very talented indeed.  My short visits to your beautiful blogs do provide me bit of respite.  You see, I have been immersed  working on this grant project for work for the last month or so and believe you me, I am so sick of it right now that I can just SCREAM!!!, I mean scream :)

I want to be creating magical things like you guys...but I know I can't right now.  My decorating and creating will be minimal at best, so I hope you don't mind if I live my decorating and creating fantasies through you.  Thinking of all of you while I pound on the laptop.

Hugs to all of you.

Took My First Professional Jewelry Class!

Hello Friends...been away much too long.  I haven't forgotten about you though, I've been lurking around your blogs and admiring them of course - sorry for not leaving comments but I assure you I ooh" and ahh! often and I send good vibes and thoughts your way.

I participated in my first class taught by a professional this last weekend at the BABE Bead 2010 show in Oakland.  Her name is Sherri Habb, auther and jewelry designer. This lady is so talented and is so vey nice.  The class she taught was Electro Etching -E3 Etching -  it was supper easy once she taught all the steps.  I ended up purchasing the little machine - and I mean very little.  The other thing that I really liked is that you don't use all the toxic chemicals you use in regular etching.  Nevertheless, you also use a chemical to electro etch but it does not have the toxicity level that other mediums do and you can reuse the solution over many times!
Here is her website - go over and take a gander as she has many other products you might like.  Have you heard of resin clay or ITS transfer medium?  http://www.sherrihaab.com/

Here are some picture of our class .  There was about twenty of us.

Below is what I made in class - not finished yet  though.

I've got more to share later.  Take care everyone!

BOO! That's as scary as I get.

This is the extent of my halloween decorating cause I am a scary cat.

I found  this not so cute huge spider at the second hand store over the summer and thought I could do something for halloween with it- not to scary though.  This is how I found it. It was a remote control spider,I think and paid a whole 95 cents for it.

This is what I used.

I glittered the legs first in red and black.  I used tinsel glitter.

And this is how spidy turned out.  My husband hung him from fish line down the side of our front porch.

BOO!  Don't eat too much candy ladies.  Have a good week.

Writing...and writing and waiting to create, Sigh!

I'm trying to sneek in some creative time in between work responsibilities.  It's funny - as I write (currently working on a grant for my work), I seem to wonder off into space and start dreaming about what I 've seen in everyone's blog lately or what I'd like to make next.  I have to slap myslef back into reality cause I am no where near done with work.

I need to get out to Jo-Ann Fabric and Crafts to pick up the latest Stampington & Company issues of Artful Bloging, PRIMS, and Where Women Create.  This should pacify me for a while.

Oh!, by the way I am looking for a post I saw on someones blog of a half apron made from many pieces of fabric - I think it was a gift from someone.  It was so pretty and embellished.  Does anyone remember this post? Longshot huh?  I meant to write the blog name and post date so that I could go back to it but of course I forgot and now I need it.

On their way to becoming bracelets.

Putting on Etsy sometime this year...   ;)

This is what keeps getting in the way.

More pretties waiting their turn.

And this will stay like this until I dig myself out of my work - the one that gives me a paycheck.

More to post on Etsy.

Happy creating everyone!  I will enjoy the bits and pieces of time I can create and immerse myself in all things blingy and blessed.  Have a great one everyone!
