So I'm still on the mend...

It's been a very difficult recovery you know!  NO energy, stiffness on my neck and back, and my 3 inch incision bugs the heck out of me.  However, I am thankful to God for all the blessings He brings to me daily such as having a darling of a husband who has been nursing be back to health (he is an engineer who has taken on the role of nursing very well), my family, friends, and coworkers.  Everyone has been so supportive and checking in on me daily.

Last night I had a horrible night, my JR heard me and got up to give me my pain medication - you see - he is a sweetheart and I love him so very much.  I couldn't sleep, I got up and checked Pinterest and then my blog and some of yours, but I just couldn't find peace.  I returned to bed and when I feel like this, I always reach for my rosary.  I began to pray and meditate on the mysteries of the rosary when I wondered how many people must be feeling the way that I was, but had no one to take care of them or to pray for them.  I gush of tears overpowered me just thinking of how many laid alone at home or in a hospital bed in pain and suffering.  So I wondered, what could I do?  Sometimes we forget of how powerful prayer is and that lifting someone up in prayer is free, right?  I can't begin to tell you how healing it is when you allow yourself to decrease and for Him to increase as you pray.  No, I am not pain free and I probably won't be for a while, but I am thankful that I was given a reminder  that there are others that need prayer.

As I mentioned in my title, I am on the mend and hope to return to work by June 1.  Even though I've had a lot of time at home, I've had no energy or inspiration to do anything - I guess pain will do this to you huh?.  It's been pretty bad and I've been bummed quite a bit.

For those of you who are thinking what in the heck is she talking about, read here.

Here is a photo of dried lavender roses some of my students brought me when they visited.  They are so lovely, even dried don't you think?

I hope you have a good week.  I am, I am not taking this sitting down.  I will continue to visit your blogs and I ask that you forgive me for not leaving comments.

God's Blessings!

Home and recuperating

Hello my friends,

Just a quick note to tell you that I am home now recuperating from the Chiari Malformation complication I was having.  Now I am dealing with the pain, weakness and lack of appetite.   So fare everything seems to have going good though.  I thank God that I have a live in nurse, my husband JR - he  just the best.  He will stay home with me for two weeks.  I'll keep you posted.

Thanks to all of you who sent me good wishes - thanks my friends.

Blessed Easter

Happy Easter Friends!  I hope you have a great Easter with all of your.  I'm on my way to visit with my sisters.

The card below is from Holy Card Heaven.  Isn't it beautiful?

This is probably my last post before my surgery at Stanford Medical Center for my Chiari Malformation condition. I'm scheduled for the 12th.  Please keep me in your prayers.  I am feeling anxious about it but I know that if I don't have this done it could be worse for me in the long run.   However, I am faithful and trusting God that HE knows best and HIS will, will be done...can I hear and AMEN?

Even though I lost many of you when I switched my blog and blog name, I am grateful for the 4 of you that follow me, :)  I'll see if my JR ( my hubs)  will post an update for you as I recover.  Thank you buddies and I'll see you on the flip side.

Peace out!

I HEART MACRO!

I've been playing with bead weaving.  It seems to stabilize my dexterity quite a bit.  When I first started though, it was a feat.  I gave up a couple of times but I paced myself and after going to a local bead shop and meeting up with my friend Ana, I am thoroughly enjoying myself.  It is relaxing to me and I don't feel overwhelmed (can't handle to much stimulations right now due to condition).  I can't wait to incorporate my regular beading work with weaving.  I already have some designs in mind.

Here is what I've come up with recently as my very first project in tila beads, Czech crystal, and seed beads.  Love the color combo.  Don't you?  It reminds me of embroidering.  I can't remember who taught me how to embroider, anyway it was mom, my sister Gloria, or Nina Teresa.  It's been a long time since I picked up a needle to embroider but bead weaving is a great substitute...to me.

I Heart Macro

I couldn't decide which picture to pick to I am loading all that I took just now.

One of my Mexican clay cups I use to store old silver plate spoons siting on my kitchen window sill.  Played a little with the colors on iPiccy.

These are the cutest and sweetest little bird ready for Easter with his straw hat full of dry hydrangeas.

There's my husband vacuuming - in the background- sneaking in the picture - sorry it's out of focus.

Just look at these cheeks! I literally want to pinch them.

Toddles everyone!
