Writing...and writing and waiting to create, Sigh!

I'm trying to sneek in some creative time in between work responsibilities.  It's funny - as I write (currently working on a grant for my work), I seem to wonder off into space and start dreaming about what I 've seen in everyone's blog lately or what I'd like to make next.  I have to slap myslef back into reality cause I am no where near done with work.

I need to get out to Jo-Ann Fabric and Crafts to pick up the latest Stampington & Company issues of Artful Bloging, PRIMS, and Where Women Create.  This should pacify me for a while.

Oh!, by the way I am looking for a post I saw on someones blog of a half apron made from many pieces of fabric - I think it was a gift from someone.  It was so pretty and embellished.  Does anyone remember this post? Longshot huh?  I meant to write the blog name and post date so that I could go back to it but of course I forgot and now I need it.

On their way to becoming bracelets.

Putting on Etsy sometime this year...   ;)

This is what keeps getting in the way.

More pretties waiting their turn.

And this will stay like this until I dig myself out of my work - the one that gives me a paycheck.

More to post on Etsy.

Happy creating everyone!  I will enjoy the bits and pieces of time I can create and immerse myself in all things blingy and blessed.  Have a great one everyone!

TODAY IS MY 48th BIRTHDAY

Funny I don't feel 48.  What should a 48 year YOUNG feel like?  As far as I am concerned I feel the same, just a few aches here and there, LOL...

Here is a picture of me and four out of 12 of my nieces who are like my daughters...I don't have any of my own but I sure have them.  LOVE THEM TO PIECES!

This birthday cake was yummy!

Have a great week everyone!

So this is what I've been up to...

I'v had this cold for a while but it finally took ahold of me in the last couple of days - especially yesterday. I woke up an could not get out of bed. My husband forced me to stay home and I am so glad I did. He gave me some medicine got me comfy and cosey and off to work he went. Guess what? Now his getting sick, opps, he's better about taking care of himself than I am though.
I have been meaning to share pictures with you from my excursion to the Candlestick Park Flea Market in San Francisco last month, however, life kept getting in the way. I've been really busy with work stuff, mainly.  I wish I could just create full time. I am so happy for those of you that get to do this full time.  Ok, I think I'ts the meds talking now...

Here we go.

I had never been to this flea market and I think I must have gone on an off day because there were not many vendors.  The information online stated that they host many more vendor than what actually was there.  In their defense, it was on the 4th Sunday instead of the usual 3rd Sunday due to a Niner game.

Isn't this dress adorable? I am sure alot of you could create some yummy things with this.

I had to touch these to make sure they were real.  They looked so lovely and fresh.  I understand they propagate pretty easily.

I just loved this vignette.

And this is my husband who accompanies me just about everywhere.  He is the best I must tell you cause I have dragged him around to some low places, just kidding, to many yard sales, estate sales, flea markets.  I'm taking a class at the  http://www.beadextravaganza.com/ in November and he is going with me. :)

Getting ready for the winter.

All the pretty whites, greens birdies and shells .

Such pretty pillows and framed prints.

I am seeing so much religious art everywhere.

I fell in love with these two chandeliers and I had to be reminded if it was " a want or a need", so they stayed behind.  Hopefully they both found good homes.

Crisp and intricate linens and fabrics.

This is what I purchased and my main reason for going to the Candlestick Flea Market.  I found a vendor who was so nice -she had her hair up in pigtails and I think she was French - I meant to get her name.  I was dizzy from looking at so much that I did not get anyones shop name -  I'm serious my brain was on overload.  Next time I will make sure to get all the correct informtion so I can post their names.

I wish everyone a happy weekend.  Hope all of you are well.  God'sBlesssings!

Finally Going To The Candlestick Park Antique & Collectable Faire

Yes it's finally here.  I so excited to be going.   This will be my first time going to Candlestick Park in San Francisco.

I don't know what to expect.  I think this time I will try to explore and get to know the place, but I do hope to find some goodies to continue making my jewelry pieces.  I have my camera ready and I'll make sure to take pictures to share with you.  Have a great weekend everyone.  Blessings

In The Studio

Hello Friends.  Just wanted to share a few pictures of the pieces I am currently working on.  I'm finding that I am really liking tarnished silver and metals in general.  They both go really nice with all the vintage bling and beads I've been hoarding.  I am ready to part with some of it and ready to buy more.

Love this huge mother of pearl cross

Check these huge jade beads and JJPII

Ahh! Can't wait to show you the final product with this medal of the Holy Family

I found this beautiful paper plate at the Laney College Fea Market in Oakland

Enjoy and have a blessed weekend everyone!
