Twelve Mornings With Mary - Final Morning

My dear friends, I have enjoyed each and every day I have been blessed to have been a part of your mornings with Mary...thank you.  This is our final post but I hope that we stay connected as sisters in Christ and lovers of Mary, Our Blessed Mother.  

I am sharing this image of Our Lady of Guadalupe painted on wood.  It was a gift from my last living aunt, who still lives in Mexico.  She is my fathers cousin and we all love her dearly.  She sent all of us girls (I have 5 sisters), one each and they are just beautiful.  As you can see from the size of the 9 foot Christmas tree that I used to prop her up for pictures, that she is quite large.

She permanently reside in our breakfasts nook and radiantly looks at us as we have our meals.  

This 12 day journey was a retreat for me.  It was about faith, religion, meditation, prayer, acceptance, and unconditional love.  And so I end with a very familiar prayer...the Hail Mary.

Hail Mary, full of grace.
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.  Amen.

Our Lady of Guadalupe?   Where's Saint Juan Diego?

Will you be doing anything in preparation for Our Lady's feast day on December 12th?  People across Mexico have been in a celebration and will culminate with a grand  procession to the local parish to honor the Virgin with "mañanitas" at dawn.  I've had the privilege of participating in celebrations, especially as a child.

I got this card on a glorious pilgrimage to Medjugorje in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegoniva, (it used to be part of Croatia), that my husband and I took about 10 years ago. If you wish to read more about Our Lady of Medjugorje go HERE.

 I have not created much in the last year or so but I thought I share another picture of a bracelet I made a while ago. When I create, I am always inspired and directed to incorporate my Catholic faith...I go with what is placed in my heart.

This image melts my heart.  They look at each other so tenderly.

I am a day late but nonetheless, here is my Blessed Mother.  

The Prayer Of Mary 

My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,
my spirit rejoices in God my 
Savior for he has looked with favor on his lowly servant.
From this day all generations will call me blessed:
the Almighty has done great things for me,and holy is his Name.

He has mercy on those who fear him

in every generation.

He has shown the strength of his arm,

he has scattered the proud in their conceit.

He has cast down the mighty from their thrones,

and has lifted up the lowly.

He has filled the hungry with good things,

and the rich he has sent away empty.

He has come to the help of his servant Israel 

for he remembered his promise of mercy,
